Kadaň

The town monument reservation with the rest of gothic defenses and gothic town building The historical centre was changed in the year 1990. The town hall with tower was rebuilt too. The part of gallery is also the information tourist centre of Kadan.
The important cultural monuments are:
The Franciscan Monastery - the sightseeing of interiors are available from the year 1999. The Municipal museum situated in the premises of the cloister has been housing a permanent exhibition of mineralogic and archaeologic objects of interest, examples of mining and processing of raw materials and also minig activities in Kadaň area since 1999.
The Church of Saint cross rise – it is situated in the original place of the church from the 13th century.
The castle – the first mention of castle is from the year 1289. The east part of the castle is in the present using as the town library with interne. The gallery of Josef Liesler is open from the September 2000. The house with domiciliary services is situated in the other part of the house.
The headsman`s street – the street from the square to the portal to the castle, the street is in the gothic style.
The Holy Trinity Column - It is situated in the middle of Peace square. The monument is by J. Waitzmann from 1753-1755.
